A Three-Day Destination Dream in Lake Como

As destination wedding videographers, we’re lucky to tell stories in some of the most breathtaking corners of the world—but Shannon and Alex’s three-day celebration in Lake Como was something else entirely. It was iconic, immersive, and overflowing with moments that felt like a perfectly edited film—equal parts Italian fantasy and raw, emotional magic.

Because one perfect day isn’t enough—Shannon and Alex closed out their celebration with a poolside party under the Italian sun. Guests rolled in late-morning to waffles, wood-fired pizza, fresh fruit, and perfectly plated eggs—a spread that screamed “uncomplicated luxury.”

Boozy, sun-drenched, and full of love, it was a warm goodbye to an unforgettable weekend. As emotions rose and hugs lingered longer, we captured the heartfelt goodbyes, the last sips of spritz, and the way the light bounced off the pool as Shannon and Alex soaked in their final moments together with everyone they loved.

Day Three: Italian Poolside Perfection

There’s nowhere on Earth quite like Villa Balbiano. Tucked into the western shore of Lake Como, this 16th-century palazzo is a masterclass in historic elegance—towering cypress trees, manicured gardens, antique-filled halls, and views that make time stand still. It’s the largest private residence on the lake, and for one day, it became the center of the universe.

Shannon and Alex spent the morning getting ready on opposite ends of the villa. Alex hosted a bold garden brunch with his crew, while Shannon prepped in the villa’s stunning outbuilding, surrounded by her bridal party. Their first look took place just inside the villa’s back entrance, beneath frescoes painted in the 1600s—an emotional, cinematic moment frozen in time.

The ceremony unfolded outside, with Lake Como glistening behind them and curious onlookers floating by in boats trying to catch a glimpse. After exchanging vows, the couple boarded two vintage Riva boats, their polished wooden finishes gliding across the water like a scene from a James Bond film. We followed on a separate boat, capturing the moment from angles that made it feel like a dream you didn’t want to wake up from.

Cocktail hour brought even more surprises—live music by Blunotte Eventi, glowing sunset light, and an espresso martini ice luge carved into Shannon and Alex’s custom wedding emblem. Iconic doesn’t even begin to cover it. The night ended with dancing inside the villa as a DJ spun the perfect blend of high-energy tracks and laid-back beats. It was vibey, stylish, and seared into everyone’s memory.

Day Two: Villa Balbiano Takes the Spotlight

The celebration began the way all great Italian weddings should—with Aperol spritzes and a boat party.

We kicked things off with a private sunset cruise on Lake Como. As their friends and family boarded, we were greeted with postcard-perfect views: glassy waters, candy-colored villas, and the majestic backdrop of the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, where Shannon and Alex were staying. What started as a welcome cruise quickly turned into a full-blown rehearsal party. Drinks flowed, laughter echoed off the lake, and the tone was set: this weekend was going to be unforgettable.

“the entire thing was so tasteful and detailed everything so well.

We couldn’t be happier with it. The details Will was able to capture around Lake Como and the wedding festivities… it’s all extremely well done and we love it! Amazing memories that we will be able to relive and share with our friends and families!”
